2009

Its now 2009 and things are off on a good start for me. The first 3 or so weeks of school is going well and I have made new friends, being Grade 8 and lots of new people have come into the school. I was very fortunate to already be at the school! But the work load is more (weekend homework :(.) My summer holiday was great and we saw lots of people. I had some friends down for acouple of days and our family invited some family-friends down, we where also very lucky to see our good friends from Canada! We also had lots of our family up, even some from Melbourne and Sydney! It was great to see all my Aunties and Uncles and Cousins! Some now much bigger than last time I saw them!

During the holidays I went to Seaworld and Wet'n'Wild, two theme parks on the Gold Coast with my Uncle Simon, Aunty Julie and my two cousins Amber and Nicholas. They where both very fun to go to, but very busy at the same time! Over the holidays it was extremely hot, but luckily I had the beach at my doorstep (not literally, but it was only accross the road!) Here are some photos of the great times of my summer holidays:

I haven't written in awhile but here is an update on whats been going on lately: Last holidays we went to the Whitsundays which was awesome! The snorkelling and swimming was amazing and the weather was perfect, great time to get a tan! At the Whitsundays me and mum celebrated our birthday and we got lots of presents, lots of clothes for me! Now its only 1 week and 1 day till I am finished Primary School forever, very exciting! Its pretty scary though, going into grade 8! Then it will be another set of holidays, but this one for 8 weeks!!!!! And Christmas is coming up soon! My cousins from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane are coming as well as my grandparents, one set from Brisbane, the other set from the Gold Coast. It will be very exciting and we will be celebrating Christmas at the Gold Coast. That is where I will be spending 6 weeks of my holidays.

Canberra!!

On June 1st to June 5th i went to Canberra with school.
It was great fun and we went to tons of places like Questacon, National Museum, Australian War Memorial, National Gallery, Parliament House and many other places.
My favourite where Questacon (ecspeically the free fall, a massive slide where you hold onto a bar at the top and then you let go and its like a 6 meter drop or something) and the Australian War Memorial!

My Life

Hi Everyone

This year has gone so fast! Were already in our 4th week of Term 2.
Heres a little catch up of whats happening in the Bray household:

1. It was my Brothers 21st Birthday on Thursday and he is having a casino party at our house.
2. School is quite hard at the moment and we are studying Government and the Wars which Australia have been involved in.
3. On June 1st i will be going to Canberra for a school trip for 4 days and we will be visiting heaps and heaps of Places.
4. Also in the September Holidays my Family and I are going to the Whitsundays on the Great Barrier Reef for a week. I have been twice before and it is great fun!! While we are there it will be my birthday.

My Holiday

Hi everybody

So far these holidays i have been to London,Tokyo,Verona,Selva,Venice,Florence and Rome. In London i loved the Wax museum Madame Trussauds. It was full of celebreties, sports stars and much more, they looked so real. Next stop Verona. There is really great shopping in Verona and i bought awesome tights and sparkly converse shoes.We only stayed there for one night. Then we moved on to Selva. In Selva we went skiing nearly every day and we spent Christmas there. Selva is in the Italian Alps. After we went there we moved on to Venice. I loved Venice and some things i enjoyed there was the Douges Palace, Walking along the canals and buying my mask. The mask that i bought is really pretty and its got a swarovski crystal on its forehead. Florence was our second last stop and a must do thing there is climｂ the Domo. The view from the top was amazing. Also the leather markets are really fun and i bought a handbag, wallet and bracelet. Last stop Rome, Rome is really big and historical. The Colosseum is amazing and so is the Pantheon.　A fun activity there is the Rome time elevator and it is where you go into a movie theatre and you　travel back　in time and the seats move and stuff. I loooved shopping there. Our flight home was very long but it was really great to get home. I hope everyone has had a great christmas and new year!

Tokyo

Hey everyone
I am currently in a Japanese airport in Narita at an internet cafe.
The airport is massive and its got heaps and heaps of duty free shops!
The flight here from Sydney was around 8 hours and i watched heaps of movies!
and we are about to hop on a plane to London which will take approx. 12 hours
It is going to be around 1 degrees when we get to london so we will be freezing!

My Exciting Trip to Melbourne

Today i got back from a trip down to Melbourne to see my Aunty, Uncle and cousins
I had a fantastic time playing with my two little cousins Amber and Nicholas
On Sunday it was Nicholas' first birthday party and everyone enjoyed their day
And of course the game of the day was pass the parcel
And to the kids delight there were lolly bags at the end!
During my week there my grandparents, Amber and I
went to a kids christmas show at the Melbourne Casino Crowns
Afterwards my Aunty Julie and Nicholas came
and we all got our photo taken with Santa
Bu sadly my Uncle Simon had to work

Holidays!

Today was the last day of term! And next week i am going to Melbourne to visit my cousins Amber and Nicholas and my Aunty Julie and Uncle Simon. I have never stayed at their house before so i am very excited. Also i am excited about going to Italy and London in two or three weeks!
I hope everyones year has been good and they have a Fantastic Christmas and i will try to post back about Italy as soon as i can.

My Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday and i turned 11. I share a birthday with my mum. To celebrate our birthday we went out to lunch with some of our family and then to the movies to see Hairspray. Some of the presents i recieved were a Nintendo DS, DS games, Handbag, Suitcase for my trip to Europe at the end of the year, Headband, Clothes, Speakers, Sticker Maker, Bracelet and a few more things. My mum and I had a great Birthday.

Camp

Just recently i went on my school camp to Camp Mapleton. I had great fun there and the food and the activities were really good. Some of the activities included: Giant Swing, Bush Skills (eg. Cooking Damper), Abseling and Canoeing. At Camp there were some night time activities as well such as Lovely Legs which is where you had to make your legs look really pretty and i was one of the winners for that, Camp Concert and another night time activity was Angels and Devils/Formal and Foul.
